Sad note. On the drive back, we stopped for the night in Salem. Beautiful nice breeze there when we arrived. Oh well.

Tim, get that Legacy built. It will work better. Wind won't be so problematic.

The greatest thing I have seen Paul do is his rain dance while flying a practice flight at Lawenceville/Vincennes in 1993!  Remember that Paul?

i got to see probly the best wind flight ever , in Lincon Nabraska. by Paul, right after he had helped a JR flyer carry his stuff out to the circle.while giving him wind flying tips

I learned the many faces that went with the names I've seen here and heard of before.  A great group of people!  One of the best contests I've been to in a long time (including Soaring contests).

Also, in no particular order:
I need and want more wind experience.
I must not become a spectator watching my plane even for a nano-moment.
(Practice) judging is fun and very demanding!
That I need to not wipe out my Classic plane two days before the contest (have a back up).
To talk less and listen more when given advice.
To allow more time to get the grin off my face afterwords.

Seriously, Thanks to Paul, Scott, John, Mike, and all the others for such a great, great contest.

Russell and Tim, you'll find that some are more frugal with the points than I am, and some are more generous. Get over it!

Paul apparently wished he could put in a few flights on the circle in Salem? What he didn't see was reported by Alan Resinger on arrival in Roseburg...the Salem circle was covered completely with goose guano, and he wouldn't even set his plane down. No wonder it won Concours?

There was a record number of stunt entries, and most of the flying was about as good as it can possibly get.
