Discovery Retro 78 muffler and header set up
«

I need some assistance as to where to locate a different header/muffler set up for my Retro 78. The one I have is not usable. The Website for
these engines shows the more traditional rear ex set up.

Mine is very strange. I also need a venturi. Has anyone dealt with the website for this engine and how is the service?

The pictures above is of the one I have not the one that is on the Discovery website.

Hi, Walter...It looks to me like your engine is setup for a canted engine installation. Not sure of the exact angle, but they look like about 45 degrees below horizontal. The reason is to cure their own version of the "Fox Burp".
I would suggest emailing Kaz Minato about this. I could be wrong, but seems to me that he either is or was a dealer and/or user. It's been awhile since I was on his website, but I was trying to get some Yatsenko props for Gary Gingerich, so he at least was a source of things Yatsenko.

Walter, that looks like Shark setup.
I think I have what you need, I'll check tonight.. L
Oops.. Checked my stock and only found the muffler front cap. Sorry. But if you give some time, I should be able to get the exhaust adapter, too. L
