Thanks to Brett for the terrific piece in Stunt News!

Brett explains dealing with, and preventing, air leaks in the NVA.

Very nicely done with clear pictures!

Thanks Brett!

Which Stunt News?  Do I have a copy yet?

Stopping leaks is easy -- just pot the thing in epoxy.  It's stopping leaks and having it still work that gets problematic.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

Thanks guys. Any notion of ego inflation is easily obviated by the incompetence I have shown to date in getting Bobby the stuff he needs, when he needs it. My performance on that, to date, is utterly disgraceful.

Hi Brett:

I'm going to pull you out from under the bus which you've thrown yourself...

Actually, it's me and Liz that are to blame for Stunt News being so far behind in cover date. The reasons for that are valid and unavoidable. Liz works for us as a part time layout and graphics person, and she does a wonderful job. What many of you may not know is that Liz is also employed by the AMA as a copy editor, layout specialist and graphics expert. She works on Model Aviation, Park Pilot Magazine, and in the summer she also produces the daily publication, Nats News. The Nats goes on for more than two months, and during that time Liz works up to 18 hours a day for the AMA. She has precious little time to spend on Stunt News, and, predictably, we fall behind. Again, unavoidable. We are taking steps to insure that we catch up and keep it on time throughout the year.

Brett came on board voluntarily to provide valuable information about internal combustion engines for our event. It seems that many were willing to write about e-power, but no one came forward to write about IC... until Brett. Those of you who know about Brett's full time work, also know that the demands on his time are great. Even with that workload, Brett has taken on this post for SN. He's really no further behind than many of our contributors, who also have "real lives." Guys, these people are volunteers who are contributing their time and talents to provide us with the best information possible. If they are sometimes late in getting their "stuff" to me, I'll not complain (at least not too much...).

So, Brett, you just keep on doing what you are doing when you can do it. We'll adjust to your schedule as needed. I want to publicly thank you for being willing to help us out. We appreciate it more than you'll ever know.

But Bob - don't you throw yourself under the bus instead!

Considering your recent bout of forgetfullness, I can see how Stunt News gets delayed...

One day at the flying field:

Bob's buddy: "Gee Bob, you just put up a really nice stunt pattern"

Bob: "Thanks!  Hmmm, stunt pattern, stunt pattern.  Gee, seems like I was going to do something having to do with stunt patterns.  It's right at the tip of my tongue, but I can't remember what it was.  Oh well, I'm sure it will come to me."

Bob's buddy: "Well, your plane was flying so nicely, you must have read that stuff that Walker wrote on trimming in Stunt News."

Bob: "Stunt News!  Stunt news!  Ahh, guys I have to roll up my lines and get home, I got stuff to do...."

 ;D

happens to me all the time...

Bob is being very charitable above, which I appreciate. My performance doesn't meet my own standards, but I will keep muddling through.
