Light Your Airplane Up Like a Christmas Tree

Would anybody be interested in a circuit that lights LEDs to tell you whether your battery is charged?  It's handy for an older person with limited short-term memory.  I built them into my airplanes and made the lights visible from the center of the circle, but a more modest person would keep the lights inside the plane or even in his pocket.

Next thing you know, Howard's planes will look like an East LA low rider with little lights on the gear and alone the bottoms of the wing and such. Maybe hydraulics.

I don't know what you would need, the rc systems run with on off switches from the transmitter.
I guess a simple on off switch running off its own battery would work.
You would also need a battery protection circuit to keep the lights from draining the lipo too low.
