Hi Alan,

I was going to take advantage of the sale, then in checkout it got to shipping and all the options were fedex.
Which did you use to avoid brokerage fees? I think ground  you will get hit, but the other two were pretty expensive.
Ground also have a free option and a paid one

Hi Pat,
Luckily we have a parcel drop in Point Roberts, WA that we can have things sent to.  We then do our own customs declaration when we cross the border.  I refuse to use FedEx or UPS to get things across the border.  I think the last time was when a $15 item cost me almost $40 in brokerage fees thanks to UPS.  If it has to cross the border,I get it sent by USPS.
Quite a deal by TP I'd say.

I figured that might be what you were doing
I was out in BC  spring 2013 flying a DLG contest, and with all the border crossings there it seemed like it was SOP for those guys as well.

We can do the same thing, but Buffalo/Niagara Falls is about 3 hours round trip, not including the time to get across the border.

I dohave a combat flyer in MI that will hold stuff for me, but then I won't get the batteries till next spring.
Of course I won't need them till then, so that might be the best plan.....

My pleasure.  I was just watching the start of the Canuck game with Columbus.  It started slowly but after a late 2nd period goal the Canucks added 4 more in the 3rd.  Ryan Miller's second shut out in a row.  Now if we can just find a way to beat the Kings, Ducks and the Sharks.  With the water problems in California maybe they'll have to quit making ice.
