Just recently Lee Concannon, "Leester" here on the forum, offered up some items in the Classifieds "free with pickup". One of my flying buddies, Keith Sandberg, noticed the ad early and contacted Lee making a tentative plan to go pick some stuff up. Keith gave me a call after and asked if I'd be interested in making the trip down to Lee's place in Moline Illinois with him. Keith lives two hours north of me and Lee's place is another 4-1/2 hours southeast of where I'm at. Over the years I'd purchased a few items from Lee through the forum Classifieds and with those dealings I already had a pretty good hunch that he was a helpful and good guy. Last Sunday Keith and I made the round trip to Lee's and back. It was a long day of driving in rain and fog but well worth the trip. By necessity our stay was short but it was great to finally meet Lee and he proved my hunch right, he's a super nice guy and a very honorable gent. Keith and I ended up hitting the road for home with some neat airplanes and a few other items in the van, along with the great feeling of finally meeting a very nice fellow C/L'er.
Thanks again Lee, great to meet you, and we'll definitely try to put this stuff to some good use.
