today  it took 8 hours to make one wheel pant.

As I said above I spent all day making one wheel pant. Tonight I put the assembly on the scale and it's 50 grams so two the them would be 100 grams or 3.5 ounces. This seems to heavy to me. So I will be building a different set of gear doors. I would like them in the one ounce a piece range. The spats will be of the same shape and size as the pants only doors.

 Can't you just move the "teardrop" portion of the pant back on the leg a little to get them to work? There's gotta be a way to cheat it somehow Sparky, this bird just won't seem right without enclosed pants. D>K
