Ringmaster X-Wing
« on: October 06, 2014, 01:06:26 PM »
The pictures are of the airplane built by an Australian customer. He built his with a conventional tail. The templates for the vertical tail have been added to the plans. The kit does not include the vertical tail parts. The kits now sell for $235.00 postpaid in the continental US.

Thanks,  Pat

Sorry Pat Not to sound mean if te wings had Not bent to go parrelle I would have been really impressed. Just looks like a more modern biplane like that.
Its looks nice but I was hoping to see a more starwars type look.

Jim,
Sorry the airplane is not for you. I am very pleased with the way the airplane turned out. I was aiming for a neat looking Biplane that has good flying characteristics and does not depend on struts for any flying structure. The only reason the airplane has struts is to give some place for the leadout guide.

Thanks,  Pat

The Ringmaster X Wing has a 49.65" wingspan and 936 square inches of wing area. It is a .60 to .75 size airplane.

Regrettably it cannot look like a star wars bipe and still be called a Ringmaster. There are certain design parameters to comply with when doing a variation of the original for it to be accepted as a legitimate Ringmaster design.. The X wing as drawn complies with all of the requirements. It is a really unique looking model and the V tail would be star wars looking enough for me.
