Earlier today, there were no beginners and one intermediate signed up.  That may shorten the front end of the schedule.

Fun was had.  Food was eaten.  Flights were flown, and a few winners were decided.  Cutoff loops were witnessed to happen on electric powered airplanes, both real and pseudo (the loops, not the airplanes).

It was swell, with great weather.  A lovely way to spend one's wedding anniversary with the wife: she sat in the car and read, and I flew stunt. 

There was a discussion here awhile back about judges' notes on score sheets.  That is accepted practice in the Northwest, augmented at this contest by constructive verbal comments.  For example, as I left the circle after my second flight, a judge yelled, "You got something against triangles?"

Did you forget them entirely, or just make them octagonal or something?

The judge went on to say that they were OK triangles individually, but not together.  I did holler at the judges (which one can do with electric) immediately after performing the triangles, advising them to average the bottoms.

I think I remember those triangles.  On at least one of your square maneuvers the first bottom was almost, but not quite, below the Walker Zone, while the second one was pretty much at the regulation 4.9 foot height.

I witnessed some pretty amazing flying in Advanced and Expert at The Follies.  Although no longer in competition, I , instead, concentrated on taking good contest photos.

I did, however, learn something from studying those great flights.  Maybe some will rub off?

I didn't yell, "I did it again."  I was telling you to average the two bottoms.
