One of the last warm and sunny days of Summer here in Minnesota and a bunch of us Minneapolis Piston Poppers got the control line planes out to the field for a fabulous fun day of flying.
Still getting the Nobler "Plan B" sorted out. Dang close to getting some good runs. Keith put one of his newer Saito .40s on it for me.
I owe that guy a lot for all his help, mentoring, coaching and kindness. Thanks, thanks, thanks Keith.
Also Wayne and Tony stayed late to help me get a good needle set and pitted me and sent me to the handle....over and over.  I very much appreciate it. I love it.
If your gonna do it....over-do it!

Another great video.   While watching I was thinking a showman like this, would his nerves get to him at a contest, but then it hit me.   You have some terrific gentlemen watching and judging you already.   Also I hope the guys thank you for making stars of them on video.

 Great vid Shug, the 'ol "Plan B" was quite a stubborn bird yesterday. Seemed like we finally found a happy combo right there at the end of the day though, I'm anxious to hear how it goes next time out.

Another great video.   While watching I was thinking a showman like this, would his nerves get to him at a contest, but then it hit me.   You have some terrific gentlemen watching and judging you already.   Also I hope the guys thank you for making stars of them on video. 

Thankee Doc. ....but this is different than doing a show for sure. For me the hardest part and the rewarding part is to get locked in and forget about anyone watching me fly. In a show I want to be aware of the audience.
Very fortunate am I to have members suppoting me through coaching, pitting and engine work. They want me to have fun, be ready and do well. Makes me all tingly inside.

It was...but those couple of good runs lit me up)))) Got some more fuel and props and weather permitting will get out some this week to burn some fuel. At least to work on that needle and more break-in.
