Brodsky 40 : new NVA .
« on: September 17, 2014, 12:16:16 PM »
Greetings fellas from a sultry S.W. France.

Took down my Sig Banshee for  spruce up and check before flying . It's been hanging up for a while.

Ran her up , and it was a bit so and so !

Decided to whip out the original NVA assembly , the two small whole variety. Installed my favourite ST NVA .

How did it perform ? Much better , cleaner and easier to set . APC 10.5 x 4.5 prop' held nicely at around 10,400 .

Expect there are many guys out there already using the ST NVA .

Robin.

Sorry guys , don't know how that Brodsky word got in there .

It's a Brodak 40 as you'll all have guessed.

Apologies , senior moment.

Double Star makes/made the Brodsky .40, and it turns out that DS spraybars seem to frequently have a burr on the cross hole(s), making for erratic settings. The normal fix is to put in a Randy Smith NV Assy.

If you like the ST NV assy., you'll really love Randy's.  Be sure to tell him what engine you want it for, because he has a bunch of different ones. 5 star rated!  ;)  Steve
