AXI motor repair?
« on: August 26, 2014, 12:19:03 PM »
I did the usual "search" function trying to locate repair parts, or a repair service for AXI motors.  Even an internet search got nothing.  The AXI web page doesn't offer repair parts.

I would prefer to have someone else fix my motor, rather than my messing it up even more

Repair for standard AXI is directly in Modelmotors. If you mean F2B 2826/13, contact me, I will give you address where to send it.

BTW what is wrong?

Thanks, Igor.  This is a small 2208/34.  It has a bent shaft (hollow).

Floyd,

This looks to be close to your AXI  (claims to handle 10 AMPS vs AXI 8 AMPS).

The price is right and they have it at the USA warehouse.

That motor has a 3.2mm shaft(1/8). That's a common sized shaft, so its available from many sources as long as you are willing to cut to length. If you have a damaged shaft odds are your bearings have been damaged too and they you said it was a hollow shaft, Do you use that feature? If not it can be replaced with a solid shaft. If you don't need it very fast pm me and I more than likely can fix it. It should not be a hard fix, but your best and most economical fix could be doing this yourself. By the way the equivalent cobra will only cost you about $26 + shipping and you will have it in about 2 days http://www.rcdude.com/servlet/the-2024/Cobra-C-dsh-2208-fdsh-34-Brushless-Motor/Detail . That is way cheaper than you shipping that motor 2 ways and paying for parts and shipping and you are getting a good quality motor besides. Just buy the cobra. By the way the motor John recommends will also work.
