An Umland kit will spoil you.  Don't ask me how I know.  Will have to go look at his site again as I don't remember this one.

Ty, undecided right now, but i've got a T&L ST46, one brand new LA 46, ST 51 and thought of a Enya 50SS...
All good choices.... I'm leaning towards the Enya.... A couple more weeks and I'll make my mind...

The weather has been too cold and rainy to paint, so I advanced a little more on this build.
Sheerwebbing of the back of the TE sheeting and the spars done.
Now i'll glue the TE cap and work on the wingtips.
Complete control system by Tom Morris on the way...
This Bird looks better and better!!! ;D 8)

Nice clean set-up. Not sure if the "double" horns are really necessary? Ya think?

I've used Tom Morris' hardware on all my models except the Flite Streak. He does really nice detailed work. To your specks also.

Are those leadouts solid wire?

Hi, Marcus. Beautiful work on that wing!

A question that I've tried to 'reason out': On the plan pic with the Morris system sitting atop the flap connection, do the flaps have (brass?) tubing glued into their leading edges, and the Morris horn legs just slide in? Or are they glued/epoxied to those pieces of tubing?

What you see is the Lucky box option that the plan shows. there's no tubing in the flap.
I've installed the bellcrank,by the way...
I'll post more pics when there's more...

Yes, life does get in the way at times.   I see you used the silicone tubing Tom puts in his bell crank sets.  I discard the stuff and put in ply spacers to keep the bell crank centered.  Also I leave enough rod, top and bottom so I can cut grooves for epoxy and ply to latch onto.  I lost my Sheeks Spitfire because the rod on  the bell crank worked it way out of the mounting.   The eyelets were J-B Welded and I guess I didn't clean the wire good enough.   Now use the wheel collars with a notch for the set screws.  This was one of the early bell cranks sets.  The build is looking  great.
