Who won the Walker Cup?

Come on, somebody out there knows.
I may be wrong but I doubt it.
I wouldn't take her to a dog fight even if she had a chance to win.

Several people in the multiple threads about it know. But, it was David Fitzgerald (Open) over Samantha Hines (Jr). There were no Seniors.  Samantha did better shapes, at times,  than a lot of guys with A LOT more experience.

Samantha is a very good flier and will be getting better very fast.  She works with Dan Banjock as his scribe while he judges.  She is learning from inside the circle and from the clipboard at the same time.  She flew really good!!!

"Samantha did better shapes, at times,  than a lot of guys with A LOT more experience."
And a better landing too! y1
Most of you in 'Cyberspace' don't realize what an AWESOME Champion David is...
At the beginning of his last OFFICIAL FLIGHT, he had Samantha sit out on the center circle with him so she could see what the pattern looked like from INSIDE the circle. The entire flight he discussed the finer points of what he was doing and HOW he was achieving the shapes and intersections. Even as he was landing, his comment was:
"Now I've bounced every landing today, let's see if I can 'grease one in'.
And he did!
Congrats to both Samantha and David!
Champions in every sense of the word!
"Tight Lines!" H^^

Dave's lucky I wasn't judging.  I would have given it to the youngster in the tradition of Navy judges in the past.

That is what makes David a real gentleman and competitor.   He is willing to help someone out as most of the top notch guys are.
