Multi-Engine Cornucopia
« on: July 05, 2014, 03:04:08 PM »
Was tending the BBQ Thursday evening when the Lancaster from the Canadian Warplane Heritage flew over twice.  This morning a B-17 (Sentimental Journey from the Commemorative Air Force visiting the CWH for a week) flew over.  Late this afternoon while again tending the BBQ the Dakota from CWH flew over.  It's been a wonderful week!

Gee, do you suppose the BBQ smoke is drawing them in?

You are so lucky to live in the flight path of those old war birds.   I love to watch and listen to them as they fly over.  Since KC has cut back on air show I don't get to see them any more.

Amazingly the Canadian Warplane Heritage is flying the Lancaster from home base in Hamilton Ontario over to England for a 2 month tour. The Lanc is scheduled to leave August 4th. The two remaining flying condition Lancasters will be flying in formation at several UK airshows. Wow would that be an awesome sight to see and hear.  http://www.warplane.com/lancaster-2014-uk-tour.aspx

A B-17 came in low over Sterling Heights this week, regretably. it did not bomb city hall.

FIFY! (Fixed it for ya). I'm sure this was what you meant, but it wasn't really clear due to punctuation mistakes.  H^^ Steve
