Dave Brown Carbon Fiber Tape
« on: June 30, 2014, 10:34:07 AM »
I had this package of Dave Brown CF ribbon for years and finally thought I would try it and wow really nice stuff. Had to be careful handling it because it has no sizing to hold it together but it wets out and fills the mould so easy. They only sell it in 12' so I thought I would ask if anyone knows where you can get a bigger roll of loose CF tow 3/4 wide with no epoxy sizing.

Thanks,
MM

Bob, you ever have props come out of the same mould and be different pitch? I made one with Dave Brown carbon and one with Perkins stuff and the first one was less load on the test stand. Maybe the mould squeezed the fibers a certain way and created stress? Both times I had too much fiber stuffed in there.
