Cox "Spook"
« on: January 07, 2013, 09:02:26 PM »
Guys,

I really would like to build/fly a Cox Spook out of balsa and as far as I know no plans/drawings exist. I was wondering if one of you fine gents happened to have an original that they would be willing to measure? Or maybe someone has done a scale drawing of one?

My hopes are to see this Classic Dale Kirn model flying again and perhaps inspire others to build and fly one.

Thanks,

Ron Cribbs

Before he passed away, Dale did do a balsa plan for the Spook.  I'll try to find my copy, or perhaps someone else has one?

Larry,

Randy Heydon provided me with a beautiful CAD drawing of an original one last night. With it I could probably cobble something up. If you have plans for the balsa version that would take me one step closer. Thank you kindly.

Kinda curious that Ron did not post this link

A while back (2013) on Cox Engine Forum (CEF) we talked about doing the spook in balsa and a member made one

Read the entire thread I believe it is what you are after

Hi Fred,

I have been a member of that forum for quite a while.  Do you know who to contact so that I can get my log in information?

Thanks!
