While carefully comparing the Saito .56 and .62 parts lists on-line, I found a curious fact :
o The Saito .56 RC (SAIE056) muffler shown is the Saito .50 muffler ( $18+ ). Part number SAI5074B
o The Saito .62 CL muffler shown is the Saito .56 control-line muffler ( $ 8+ ). Part number SAI5674CL
I think the .56 engine is obsolete, but they still show them in stock. I bought a couple of the $8 mufflers
and they are a bit smaller than the oiginal muffler shipped with the .56. In fact, smaller than the one
on my .40, but it fits the thread on the .56.
Does anyone know the history or the effect of the shorter muffler? I know that mufflers fall off these engines
quite easily, so the low cost vesrsion is a welcome item.
