Compatibility and Interchangeability

I was asked if the U/Tronics Control Multi channel systems were matched sets?  

The answer is NO! 

The question was did the modeler have to keep a Handle with Encoder to use only with the Decoder it came with.  He did not want to have to remove the Decoder from one model to use the Handle on a second model or could he use a different Decoder with his present handle?

The design of the Encoder and Decoder make them universally compatible.  In fact you could use a 7 channel Encoder to control a 4 channel Decoder with the limitation of only having 4 useable channels.  you could also use a 4 channel Encoder to control a 7 channel Decoder again with the limitation of only having 4 useable channels.  

I think that makes them Compatible and Interchangeable.
