1976 model .

this is the third F4E Phantom Id built .First was 1976 .

http://www.controlline.org.uk/userupload/613/0015.jpg

best I can do , computorwise for picture . First had OS .30
and weighed 43 Oz with muffler & 3/4 Oz tailweight.I think
40 without. Fuse is built on a Flat 3/16 sht. floor, and has
differential Flaps and Elevators.Wide Trike gear .First was
Dark Grey / Dark Green / pale blue underside . Was a toss
up wether Lufftwaffe or IDFAF, but didnt get either markings.

Was about the 90th C/L model Id built. One or two had been
Combat Wings .This blue one unfortunately was trashed in a
move, which didnt improve its performance.Original had 3/32
wire for pushrods , which were sortoff self braceing , and
had 1/2 x 3/32 slots in bulkheads for pushrod. So it steered
fairly nicely .

Matt, I like the plane, wish you had another shot of it from a different angle.

Will take time. Theres a few shots of the first one , somewhere , a good few of the second.Have to pull from photos.
looked at the School C papers yesterday . 1974 . so makes it built and flown in 1975 .Based on Bjornwall ' Mustunt '
plan & wing .a P-51 B my brother built. Very spectacular prang on sundown on maiden flight .
Came in shallow and spread itself along the field in a cloud of dust . Most Realistic . ~^

Bulkhead positions and moments match the P-51 stunt plan . %^@
