Marvin Denny
« on: January 30, 2015, 03:22:59 PM »
Marvin Denny passed away from bone cancer at his home at 3:58 this afternoon.

Marvin was one of my best friends; I'm glad his suffering is over. He had fought cancer for years.

I am so saddened by this news.  Marvin had become a great friend, and I will miss him dearly.  My prayers for the family and friends.  I, too, am glad he is finally out of pain.

You would be hard pressed to find a finer gentleman than Marvin. He will be greatly missed.

My condolences to Marvin's friends and family. While I only knew of him from his friends on Stunthanger, he seemed to be a really decent fellow. My mom also passed from a long battle with bone cancer, and I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Godspeed, Marvin.

Everything that I could say about Marvin has already been said. We are all the less for our loss. One of the finest gentlemen that I had the privilege to know.

I posted in the Open forum also,  But, the video that Elwyn posted reminded me of the first Tulsa contest I attended down by the river with all the sand burrs.   They had what was called a Bi-Slob event and Jim Lee told Marvin he couldn't be beat or vice versus.   I was launcher for Jim and what a show they put on.
