Jack Stolly
« on: March 04, 2015, 12:16:18 PM »
I just learned that scale modeler Jack Stolly passed away from pneumonia on December 4, 2014. He was 88.
Jack is probably best remembered for his P-39 from the early 1980's, which featured a mid-mounted liquid cooled engine just like the prototype. In 1986 he completed a P-38 Lightning, with home made retracts and functional Fowler flaps. This model won Sport Scale at the Lake Charles Nats. It is now in the Frontiers of Flight Museum at Love Field in Dallas.

Jack is survived by his wife Naomi, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
