There was a slideshow at the service.  Don left behind thousands of photographs, and his family went through them to find the ones most meaningful to Don.  Among them were pictures of Avengers built by Mark Scarborough and Randy Powell.

THats pretty cool,
I actually just talked with Ryan today about all of Dons slides and pictures. I am trying to get them so I can scan them to preserve that part of history. Stunt history anyway.

I never met Don , but I'm somewhat indebted to him. At the 1969 Willow Grove , Pa. NATs,  he  took the picture of me at age 18(I was unaware) readying my JD Falcon II for flight. I use that pic as my "avatar" on this forum.
In 2010, Tom Luciano told me that he discovered it  online and that Don captioned it " nice flying Falcon". Forty one  years later, that old pic helped rekindle my interest in U- Control.
Thanks, Don and may  God speed.

 Hi Mark :
Yes, indeed. I'm certain that you consider yourself lucky to have known him.
Don also connected us to  1969 NATS photos he took of John D'Ottavio .  John  ran the stunt event  that year and I believe, also in 1965.
I used  them when compiling  the application for John's  candidacy to the PAMPA Hall of Fame.
Thanks,
Frank
