Lipo battery cells, like many of the items we use in C/L, are for the most part manufactured in China. Like many Chinese products there are good ones and bad ones.
It is interesting to note that Thunder Power batteries, which are regarded by many of us as the best, are assembled in Nevada after the company purchases the cells from a manufacturer in China.
RSM Distribution purchases the batteries it sells directly from a manufacturer in China that offers top quality lipo cells. Unlike Thunder Power we do not assemble the batteries here in the USA. Instead we have the cell manufacturer assemble the batteries in China, solder on the Deans connector and balance plugs and then ship the completed battery to the USA. Since we deal directly with the manufacturer we can offer our lipo batteries for a very competitive price. An example of this price advantage is a 3300 4 cell RSM battery (30C) at $59.99 vs a 3400 4 cell (25C) from Thunder Power at $69.99. That is 15% less money for a better battery with a higher discharge rate. The higher the "C" rating the more expensive the battery is. Unlike many of the lipo batteries available you never have to solder your own Deans connectors when you purchase a lipo from RSM.
