Can anybody identify....
« on: June 22, 2017, 07:58:56 PM »
This ABC P/L is from an estate and I want to know what it is for. The bore is .801-.803 and about 1-1/8" long as best as i can measure it. It looks new to me.

Thank you, Jerry

Others will doubtless know more, but the big slightly squared head makes me think of a car engine.  The bore size you mention says its a big motor!

It looks like a Magnum 36 XL ll  sleeve and head, the  36  is .807 bore  , with the short throw, has a  short sleeeve
it is a true chrome engine, but your  set is missing  the piston

Do you believe that any old piston will fit?  These things are usually matched, and then honed or lapped.

if it is a Magnum 36   I will buy the  head from you,  the sleeve  is a  piston/sleeve matched pair, so the sleeve may, or may  not  work  for you

Randy,

Did you get the head? And is it what you were looking for? Or are you going to send it back?

If its what you are looking for, is my price/deal OK with you?

Thank you, Jerry

PS: Yeah I know, lots of questions! LOL.

Hi Jerry
yes  i have it, the head is  a Mag 36 and I can use it, the sleeve  is useless to me, but  yes  the parts you asked for I am getting up, I have the venturie  , and I have every Enya  NVA  but that  one, however if you want a  ST tye  I can send that now, or I have 45  size  NVAs  coming

Hi Randy,

Thank you. I would rather have the Enya type. I don't want to drill the venturi to fit.

Looking forward to a fine running engine!

Cheers Jerry
