Using the 1/8 rods thru the ribs so totally simplified the process!

Many years ago when I was actively flying combat, a friend & I practiced with Combat Kittens on fairly short lines running Cox medallion .049s on surgical tubing "tanks".  Things happened fast - just like the "big stuff" - and the airplanes handled pretty much like them too.

It was a great way to fly on nearby smaller fields using considerably less fuel ... and great fun!
