One day out of about seven when it didn't rain much and the sun came out. Light breezes and a great flying day. Turnout was light, per late April for the MCLS. Combat went well with 4 rounds of Speed Limit and double elim Half A on Friday. Howard Shenton did a fine job both organizing the contest and he's been working out enough to have some good matches again.
Half A- 4 flyers. Ray Copeland twisted my arm and let me use a couple planes. Third- Phil Cartier, Second- Don Stoneman, First- Mike Londke.
Speed Limit had a lot more action with 6 flyers. Top three flyers scored 23 cuts. Thanks to Howard's decision to award an extra 100 pts for winning a match the placings were(in picture) Howard Shenton, First- Phil Cartier, Third- Mike Londke with son Samuel, who won Beginner stunt, Second- Jason Wright. I think this was Jason's second contest.
