Yet again, another 2.4 Ghz handle

Just in time for the Nats. I took a Spektrum DX2E, modified it for our use and added a handle to it with Bicycle handlebar tape. I also found that the latest version of this radio comes with a 3 channel receiver, if you hook up a servo to the Aux1 port, it will cycle it when you press the bind button. It's designed for Remote Onboard Starting.

Kool! How does it handle (feel) in flight? Does it wiggle/move because of the tape?

Don't know, but I'll let everyone know. Because I am holding on to the handle, it is pretty solid.

Looks like a heck of an idea to me. The tape is just holding the radio to the handle. I push to go fast so I have never use my index finger to hang on to the handle although I do use my free hand to hold onto the "handle" while doing the HS portion of the event. I guess if you use your index finger to pull the throttle for HS then it is helping the other 3 fingers to fly and hold onto the plane. The tape would help spread the connectivity of the handle to the radio so you are still ahead of the game and that tape is just as strong as any nuts and bolts combination.
