Insignia
« on: April 19, 2016, 11:51:18 AM »
Is there anyone out there that stocks vinyl insignia in a variety of nations and sizes?

Alternately, is there anyone out there with cut files for a variety of nations?

I found it hard to order insignia for my Ringmaster.  Everything was either out of stock, came from China, or was the wrong size.  I ended up cutting a (not terribly good) US Navy insignia by hand from some scrap vinyl.

Being able to order something, or to give a cut file with some sweet-talking to my vinyl-cutting club-member, would be nice.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

Have you tried Charles of CFC Graphics.   For US markings I got mine from Brodak ans I think SIG has some too.

Brodak.  Of course.  It looks like all they have is one style, though.

It looks like everything Sig has is waterslide.  I have nothing against that in principle, but I kinda like 'coat for casual building.

Charles is my backup if I can't get stuff locally -- the local guy is eager to help, though.

Get a decal sheet for one of the Eflite foam models.  A hobby shop who deals with Horizon will probably have an assortment.  They are peel and stick, just my kind of high tech.

I've been getting custom-made stuff from a local shop called Pit Stop Graphics.
They are vinyl spray paint masks.
With my help they have developed modern USAF roundels, "USAF" and "U.S. AIR FORCE".
