P D K Ring master J R

Has any body built a Pat King Ringmaster Jr, if so how well did you like it, and would you build another?

If it is typical of his kits, it will be an easy build.   His kits that I have built came out light and straight.   It's the finish I added weight, but they fly great with the right engine/motor.

Doc is right in that they are easy builds. This is an early build and it is powered with an OS10 FP and is more than adequately powered. Keep it light and you just might get the pattern in with it.

Here's mine. I really enjoyed the build, awesome kit. The packaging didn't work to well, it had a broken leading edge and spar when I got it... I just glued them back together. I didn't enjoy bending the LG wire, but it still turned out good and flies great.

I just realized that I didn't answer your last question, would I build another. YES, I would. Matter of fact, I have a hankering for a Ringmaster JR Flash to replace the one I crashed on it's first flight when I was a kid. His kit of that looks great!

Also, I was looking at the pic of the one in the post above mine, and realized that I also altered my rudder a little bit to make it the shape of the one on my big Ringmaster. Not sure which is right.

I built one a few years ago and it's an easy build and flies great. I put a OS 15FP on mine and it will do anything you ask it to do.

I thank everyone for the kind words. The Vertical Stabilizer on my Ringmaster Jr. kit is not the same shape as on a Ringmaster S1 because my kit has the same shapes as the Sterling kit S5 Ringmaster Jr. . That did not have the same shape as the Vertical Stabilizer on the Ringmaster.

Gil you still have the RING jr. I gave you? It has hung on your shop wall for years! Your PET 09 or OS 10 will be good for it.

Doug I have flown  the "socks" off that thing with that O S Pet .099, it only weighs 16 OZ ready to fly.  Sorta thinking about one of Pat Kinks versions for my next build.

Go for it,  He has several kits I would like to have if I didn't have so many.   Found out I already have his Ringmaster Flash along with a couple of other kits.    Besides as the commercial goes,  "Its your money use it the way you want".   H^^

  Mornin Guy's,
I have ordered one an am lookin forward to building it.  Need to find another os 10 for power, and get started when the kit arrives.

We have our annual contest this week end (Oct 15 & 16) here in Baton Rouge La.  All the info is in the events section here on Stunt Hanger.

       Thanks for that Sparky... y1

A picture or 2 of the Ringmaster Flash. Power is a 15X. Pat King may still have this one in his collection.

Dennis that is a sharp looking airplane! I have to admit I have never really seen a ringmaster Flash. Gonna go have a look at Pat's vendor site!

Would you believe I have one of his Ringmaster Flash in a box under a stash of plans.  Had forgot all about it if I hadn't been looking for the plans of another plane.

Nudder question, does any one use the stock lead out location on Pat's Ring Jr? And if not how do you make up your adjustable L/E guide??
   Again thanks..
