Kewl!

I just have a variety of heavy weights in my shop, bought from a scrap metal dealer.  Having a 5-lb weight on the left wingtip while you're working on the right one works out just dandy, with little muss or fuss.  If you're worried about scuffing, use towels or something.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

Good idea.  I'll try to remember that one.

Mike,

Go to age 81 in the current Model Aviation and look at the Ohio Superstar ad. I've had one of those for over 20 years and it is a really useful tool to have. I have never used weights to hold the film in place and have never felt the need to do so. Every now and then you have to give a nod to the R/C community for useful ideas and tools to use.

I put Urethane soft foam sheets over and under the wing I am not working on, then sand-bags for soft weight. Never a dent!  :!
Think S.M.A.L.L. y'all and, it's all good, CL, FF and RC!

I have seen the light, and it’s powered by a lipo.

I just had some scrap plywood and a few dowels around the shop and just came up with this...works pretty good.

I use modeling clay that I have placed in a plastic bag and with a piece of round aluminum I flattened it. They don`t mar or dent the balsa. It helps a lot for doing wing tips with polyspan.
