Just Another Nobler ARF, or is it?

This is my old Thread. All photos were lost when SH had a fail issue. SH is back up but all photos were lost.

Sooooo, I uploaded all the photos in this Thread, and a few of my others. Same text.

I purchased this Nobler for a back up model to my Pathfinder. I'll probably lose the Pathfinder learning the pattern.

Changes:

Tom Morris HDWE, my layered bellcrank, new leadouts, leadout adjustment kit, weight box kit and a different canopy. Power will be an OS 30.

Someone has already done a lot of work for you it looks like.   Has the control system been upgraded or not,   Looks a lot different than the one I brought home from Oklahoma one year and still flying.

The model is NIB, got it from Tower with an 18.00 coupon.

I haven't changed anything yet, it's just as it was out of the box except for the graphics.

I thought the graphics would dress up the model.

The scheme is real, search on line for an aircraft that was blue.

Tim,

About the Nobler graphics.

I cut the stripes as I went along, one at a time from roll stock and applied them, so I have no vectored art to cut these stripes as a set.

If you're really interested in a set, I have the Rondels, panel line grids and numbers. I could supply the yellow and black material in roll stock that would be needed for the stripes and the material for the rudder.

There's a lot more work than is obvious with cutting all the stripes and applying them.

I found this decal sheet on line while looking for a scheme to use on the Nobler ARF.

I didn't scale it up but I used it as a reference.

Has all the stuff and then some.

Charles, I bet if you could supply this or a couple other "nobler Graphics" packages they would be hot sellers.  I would definitely buy something like that to dress up my next ARF and give a different look from all the others out there.  Do it dude!! y1 y1

Lord knows I've Posted many photos of vectored drawings taken of my monitor.

I find it the easiest way without going through a step to make the art a JPEG for people to see.

Anyway, it was mentioned that I should provide graphics sets for Nobler ARF's.

Understandably, it does take a bit of work to produce vector art for graphics to be applied on a model.

Probably a bit more work than most would think. Ask the CAD people.

Sure, it is easy for me because I've been doing this a while, but it still takes a bit of time.

Also note, there are no drawn lines for the yellow and black stripes. I said I cut them by hand. Interesting note about that, that is, there's no graphics on my Nobler that cannot be cut by hand.

I have photos someplace describing steps to cutting your own graphics by hand. I believe I have text also. I'll see if I can dig them up.

This is the actual vector drawing that I use to send to my cutter to make the Nobler graphics seen above.

Yes, the FT ARF Nobler is a fine model, but needs a bit of expression. The decal sheet supplied is OK, but it's what everyone has. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

You probably don't know this, but I specialize in Warbird graphics. Some R/C modelers have actually won scale compititions sporting my efforts, I should say sporting my graphics.

OK, without braking the bank, how about some British rondels, fuselage numbers, and a set of yellow stripes for the leading edge.

I have a FT Nobler for sizing so you won't have to take any measurements.

How far along are you with your TF  ARF Nobler?

ARF Noblers can be had for 120.00. Upgrades cost a bit, but with changes and only a few days work, it is a fine flying model.

I spent a great deal of time designing and cutting these graphics, not to mention the time to apply them.

So I replaced all the photos. Certainly worth looking at.

Never know, might inspire someone to put a Nobler togeter.

I might just assemble the thing and use the Enya .35 Classic Red in it. Might be a good combination.

First off, these are not decals, far from it.

I guess you don't know I have a sign, art and graphics business AND I provide custom graphics to the model airplane hobby.

So, what you see here are cut vinyl lettering and cut graphics. Peel n stick.

Easy as pie to apply, just ask the many CL modelers who have purchased vinyl graphics from me.

BTW, my graphics can be seen on Nats scale winners like these models.
