Yeah, that's cool! That was in a late 60's Model Airplane News wasn't it?  I remember lusting after that when I checked out the magazine from the library book mobile ( I guess they still have those?)  Our club has been dabbling in 1/2A scale and I've had that in the back of my mind for a long time, just never got to it. as usual. Can you tell me the issue it was in to shorten the search? That should have the plan number also. I have a bunch of M.A.N. plans
   Type at you later,

Hey Dan, I just flew it. Steve Staples built it. I think the plans are on Outerzone plan site.
It wouldn't take off with the first engine. It is flying with a strong engine and needed all of the 40 foot runway to get airborn.
I'll check with Steve on the plans.

A Boeing 727-223, registered N844AA, was stolen from Quatro de Fevereiro Airport, Luanda, Angola on 25 May 2003.[1] Its disappearance prompted a worldwide search by the United States' Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Central Intelligence Agency. No trace of the aircraft has ever been found.

Wound up with a 5x3 Grish.
It wouldn't go with the 3blade in the still.

Very cool!  "N" numbers ending with "AA" most often were originally purchased from American Airlines.  I noticed the eagle on the tail...was that inspired by the Postal Aircraft?

The tail number is a real one.
The bird on the fin is just looks good. Seems to fit with TLAR Airlines.
