1/2 A Stunt Recommendations
« on: February 25, 2017, 05:36:54 AM »
Just read in the Stunt News that Wisc State Control Line Championships has a 1/2 A category.
Does any one know if there is a 1/2 A Barecat kit out there? Always was a fan of Wild Bill and Bob Baron. I know RSM has a Pinto kit,my back up choice.
Would  like to try electric on it.
Any ideas on planes to try, kits sources, electric conversion for 1/2 A, line length etc appreciated.
Learned to fly on a Cub .049...well worn out...in the late 50.s
1/2 A has always been just for fun.
Now I want to try something serious.
Thanks.

John,
The 1/2A Barecat is a great flyer. dont believe it was ever "kitted". Plans are available from AMA , "1/2A Stunt, Barecat 650-C. See pic of mine in Photo Gallery, District 5, 3rd row up from bottom.
Yes, I used Bob Baron's colors!

.
Thanks.

Thanks for noticing, I you are interested in attending our contest and I can help out let me know.

I heard the 1/2 guys but I was trying to fly combat.  They look like that they had a lot of fun.

After about 10 flights on my RSM Pinto I can highly recommend it. Great flyer! My old G Mark .061 was a great choice. Not as powerful as a TD .051 but very steady engine runs.
